National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Behavioral Health Resource Center

Description

An organization that advances quality and access in behavioral health services by accrediting managed behavioral healthcare organizations and certified community behavioral health centers, and by integrating behavioral health measures into HEDIS® (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set). These measures address quality gaps and support performance evaluation, guiding quality reporting and value-based purchasing for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans.

National Council for Mental Wellbeing

Description

A nonprofit and membership organization that drives policy and social change on behalf of mental health and substance use treatment organizations across the country. They advocate for policies that encourage high-quality, accessible care, build capacity of mental health and substance use treatment organizations, and promote greater understanding of mental wellbeing.

National Indian Health Board (NIHB) Behavioral Health

Description

The NIHB's Behavioral Health programs strive to support the development of programs that respect culture and Tribal sovereignty, and promote the balance between the mind, body, heart and spirit. In keeping with this focus, NIHB brings Tribal governments timely information to support health care policy analysis and decision-making.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

Description

Supports research to develop and test interventions to improve identification and treatment of patients with mental health conditions, including in primary care / general medical settings; and associated research on implementation and dissemination of such interventions that have been found to be efficacious/effective.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)

Description

A federal agency that encourages innovative basic, translational, and clinical research that enhances the understanding of whole person health and facilitates integrated care to improve health outcomes and reduce health care costs.

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

Description

As the lead federal agency for research on substance use, NIDA conducts and funds research on substance use including models for integrating substance use care in primary care and other healthcare settings.

Nationwide Children's Hospital Behavioral Health Integration Program

Description

Supports pediatric behavioral health integration through practice transformation, training, collaborative learning, resource sharing, and advocacy. Assists practices new to integration as well as those seeking to improve, expand, or innovate existing integrated care efforts.

No Health Without Mental Health (NHMH)

Description

A nonprofit organization focused on advocating for integrated behavioral healthcare nationwide. They work with policymakers, researchers, physician groups, and other advocacy partners to accelerate model development, improve payment for integrated care, facilitate IBH provision, and ensure IBH is a part of the health policy reform agenda.

Northwestern Medicine West Health Accelerator

Description

A pioneering collaboration bringing together Northwestern Medicine, West Health, and the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to advance integrated behavioral health in primary care. Together, the partners are building and testing implementation strategies codified into a replicable blueprint that captures what works, for whom, and under what conditions, to equip health systems nationwide with the tools and evidence needed to scale integrated care.

Opioid Response Network (ORN)

Description

Led by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), ORN provides evidence-based education and training known as technical assistance or TA across prevention, treatment and recovery addressing opioid and stimulant use disorders. ORN provides all resources at no cost addressing local needs with local ORN consultants to build sustainability. Every state and territory has a designated ORN Technology Transfer Specialists to facilitate this work.
