Behavioral Health Integration Ecosystem Directory

A research partnership in which the National Institute on Drug Abuse, researchers, and community-based providers develop, evaluate, and disseminate new prevention and treatment options for substance use disorders in community-based medical settings in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

A pioneering collaboration bringing together Northwestern Medicine, West Health, and the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to advance integrated behavioral health in primary care. Together, the partners are building and testing implementation strategies codified into a replicable blueprint that captures what works, for whom, and under what conditions, to equip health systems nationwide with the tools and evidence needed to scale integrated care.

Led by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), ORN provides evidence-based education and training known as technical assistance or TA across prevention, treatment and recovery addressing opioid and stimulant use disorders. ORN provides all resources at no cost addressing local needs with local ORN consultants to build sustainability. Every state and territory has a designated ORN Technology Transfer Specialists to facilitate this work.

This program offers assessment and treatment plans for a wide variety of behavioral issues and age ranges, incorporating aspects of Primary Care Behavioral Health and Collaborative Care Model in pediatric settings.  They provide specialized training opportunities within their program and conduct research to ensure they are relying on the latest evidence to inform care.

The program aims to improve the health of children by supporting implementation of evidence-aligned clinical services, meaningful quality metrics, and informing policies and payments to sustain services. A key area of focus is behavioral health for children, with deep work focused on integrated behavioral health in primary care.

Fosters collaboration with community health center (CHC) professionals across the state through training, technical assistance, operational support, and capacity building. Additionally, OPCA collects and analyzes statewide data from health centers to identify trends in population health and then uses that information as a basis to support policy and regulatory improvements which reduce barriers to care and support health centers.

An open-membership collaborative of pediatric integrated primary care clinicians and scholars. The PIPCRC was initially conceptualized as a “living laboratory” to conduct pediatric integrated care research and spur cross-institutional collaboration using a set of streamlined processes.

To meet children's behavioral health needs, these programs from HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) help pediatric health professionals with consultation, training, resources, and referrals. This support helps them effectively add behavioral health to routine checkups.

A program that provides integrated behavioral health through the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and provides technical assistance for CoCM implementation to practices within the Penn Medical System. They advocate for integrated care and disseminate their research and learnings to audiences nationwide.

A 12- month training program in providing clinical  care across the age range in a co-located fully integrated primary care setting. Residents are provided individual and group supervision with experienced psychologists as well as didactic training on issues related to behavioral health care in an setting where they are collaborating daily with medical colleagues. The program is Accredited by the American Psychological Association.
