Description

A program that aims to expand health care providers’ capacity to screen, assess, treat, and refer patients for maternal mental health and substance use disorders during or after pregnancy through consultation, training and resources and referrals.

Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM)

Description

Through training, mentorship, and a shared community, STFM equips academic family medicine professionals with the skills and resources (including behavioral health) to develop an accomplished family medicine workforce and improve health for rural and underserved communities.

Southcentral Foundation Nuka System of Care

Description

Offering health care organizations value-based solutions for data and information management, integrated care, behavioral health, workforce development, improvement, and innovation, Southcentral Foundation’s Nuka System of Care is recognized as one of the world’s leading models of health care redesign. “Nuka” is an Alaska Native word that means strong, giant structures and living things.

Stanford Primary Care's Integrated Behavioral Health Program

Description

A program that aims to facilitate patient access to high-quality, evidence-based and compassionate behavioral health care through interdisciplinary collaboration and education in primary care. In addition to providing IBH care clinically, the program offers additional training in mental health care and maintains a consulting team that provides eConsults, curbside consultations, crisis support, and psychoeducation.

Texas Health Institute

Description

Aims to expand efforts to advance health systems transformation through health integration, through a lens that promotes progress along the health continuum rather than just a model or stand-alone effort of a more extensive system. They primarily focus on working within Texas but are nationally engaged in BHI work.

The Bowman Family Foundation (BFF)

Description

A private nonprofit dedicated to improving lives affected by mental health and substance use conditions. It designs and funds projects, reports, and tools to advance access, equity, and quality in behavioral healthcare. Resources help stakeholders—employers, administrators, and regulators—assess access, quality, and costs, improve parity compliance, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance care and optimize healthcare expenditures.

Description

Description

The Waco Guide to Psychopharmacology in Primary Care®

Description

A library of clinical decision support tools facilitates psychopharmacological treatment of routine and complex mental and behavioral health disorders, including substance use disorders, by providing top-level evidence and expert opinion, tailored to primary care. The Waco Guide is available via a free mobile app and website. The tools’ recommended interventions include first, second-, and third-line pharmacotherapy; augmentation options; titration schedules; and potential side effects.

University of North Carolina Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center

Description

A research center that conducts rigorous, data-driven research to inform policy and planning for strengthening the behavioral health workforce and increasing access to quality services delivered by practitioners across disciplines and licenses. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
