This webinar, hosted by the Indian Health Service (IHS), emphasizes the importance of extending care beyond the traditional confines of the clinic. It investigates how the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle can be effectively utilized to enhance integrated behavioral health (IBH) care within tribal clinics. This session offers a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for implementing the PDSA methodology, facilitating continuous improvement. It is supported by real-world case studies and insights derived from applied research, including systematic reviews. Participants will acquire practical strategies for addressing various challenges, promoting collaboration, and executing data-driven enhancements tailored to meet the unique needs of tribal healthcare settings.

Objectives:

  1. Examine the role of the PDSA cycle in driving continuous improvement in integrated behavioral health care.
  2. Identify key steps in the PDSA process and how they apply to IBH service enhancements.
  3. Appraise real-world examples of PDSA implementation in tribal and safety net clinics.
  4. Develop strategies to overcome common challenges in applying PDSA.

Available credits include 1 hour of ACCME, ANCC, AAPA, ASWB, and APA. To receive a certificate of continuing education, attendees must electronically sign-in for the session, participate in the entire live internet activity and complete the online evaluation.  Participants will be able to print their certificate after completing the evaluation.  The evaluation for this session will close two weeks from the date of the webinar.
