NASEM: Enhancing Care and Services for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders

The National Academies for Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Forum on Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders will host a virtual public workshop on July 1-2 to explore the role of health policies in shaping mental health and substance use disorder (MHSUD) outcomes, especially in communities with limited access to care. Speakers will discuss the potential of telehealth and other health policy strategies to improve care coordination and service delivery, focusing on areas such as housing support, economic assistance, and community-based interventions.
