Recovery Science Series Webinar: Improving Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder in Youth

While there is considerable evidence and broad expert consensus for the use of medications for OUD (MOUD) as the standard of care for the treatment of OUD in youth, uptake has been limited, and adherence and retention are problematic. This presentation, hosted by the Recovery Research Institute of Massachusetts General Hospital, will review barriers to optimum outcomes in adolescents and young adults with OUD, as well as approaches for overcoming them. In particular they will discuss developmentally-informed treatment strategies, including family involvement.
