Gender, race, ability, socioeconomic status and culture play huge roles in a person's experience with their mental health and substance use care. This session will focus on the experiences of patients and providers within LGBTQ+ communities.
Callen-Lorde Community Health Center will dive into the distinctive experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals based on their various identities and explore ways to address the health disparities within LGBTQ+ communities. They will also highlight strategies to collect data and meet the unique needs of clients.
