CoE-IHS: Equity in Action - Enhancing Maternal Health Outcomes Through Integrated Care for Women of Color

-

Research shows that discrimination and racial injustice have a significant impact on maternal mortality rates among people who identify as women of color. Studies have also shown that women of color are disproportionately impacted by maternal mortality and negative whole-person health outcomes, with factors such as implicit bias, unequal access to health care services, socioeconomic disparities and systemic racism playing a role in these disparities.

For the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solution's (CoE-IHS) monthly Equity in Action session, Enhancing Maternal Health Outcomes Through Integrated Care for Women of Color. This session will bring together experts, advocates and allies to amplify voices that are often marginalized in health care conversations, confronting challenges and sharing strategies that contribute to transformative solutions. It explore actionable strategies, share best practices, and apply cultural humility to address maternal health disparities.
