PTTC: Understanding Stress and Substance Use Among LGBTQ+ Adolescents

Addressing the impact of stress on LGBTQ+ youth and substance use requires comprehensive strategies that focus on both individual and systemic factors. This includes promoting LGBTQ+-inclusive environments, reducing stigma and discrimination, providing mental health support tailored to their specific needs, and ensuring accessible substance use prevention and treatment services that are sensitive to the LGBTQ+ community. Jeremy Goldbach, the facilitator for this workshop is an expert with extensive experience working with this special group of individuals. He will share the research related to this topic and provide guidance to help improve prevention use. This webinar is hosted by by the South Southwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC), funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
