The second workshop in a virtual series hosted by the National Academies’ ad hoc Committee on Unequal Treatment Revisited will explore innovative and promising approaches aimed at addressing racial and ethnic inequities in health care access, utilization, and quality of care; examine the promises and realities of U.S. civil rights policy as it relates to health care; highlight data and measurement needs to advance health equity research; and identify opportunities for future research. This workshop series is part of a consensus study that will identify major drivers of health care disparities, effective interventions, and more — building on the 2003 Institute of Medicine report, “Unequal Treatment: Confronting Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health Care.”
This is Day 1 of this event. Day 2 is on Thursday 8/17/23 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET, and you may register for either or both.
