Putting Care at the Center 2023 - Elevating Behavioral Health in Whole-Person Care

-

Putting Care at the Center is the annual conference of the Camden Coalition’s National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs initiative. It provides an opportunity for the national complex care community to learn, network, and create a shared agenda for the growing field of complex care. Co-hosted by Commonwealth Care Alliance & The Center to Advance Consumer Partnership, this year’s event will take place November 1-3 in Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Park Plaza hotel.

The theme of Putting Care at the Center 2023 is: Elevating behavioral health in whole-person care. Improving the health and well-being of individuals with complex health and social needs requires strong complex care ecosystems, in which organizations and sectors work collectively to coordinate care. One challenge to building strong ecosystems of care is that in many communities, behavioral health services — including mental health care and addiction support — are underfunded and siloed.

Over the course of the conference, questions will be addressed, such as:

  • What opportunities exist to strengthen and integrate behavioral health services?
  • What lessons can be gleaned from national reform efforts?
  • How can organizations in other sectors learn from behavioral health’s peer leadership models?
