Opioid Use Disorder and Civil Rights Video and Webinar Series

The National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW), together with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), created this training series to provide information to child welfare and court professionals about federal disability rights protections that apply to some parents with an opioid or other substance use disorder who are involved with child welfare.

Materials Exhibit: Resources on Treating Opioid Use Disorder in Special Populations

To support Florida's individuals, families, communities and practitioners, this collection of information and resources on treatment of opioid use disorder in special populations was compiled by FADAA with support from the Florida Department of Children and Families Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. The materials are organized into three categories by population: justice Involved Individuals, veterans, and rural populations.

Anti-Stigma Toolkit: Guide to Reducing Addiction-Related Stigma

This resource provides practical information about a variety of approaches to prevent addiction-related stigma. Some are especially simple and can be initiated by individuals on their own. These include tips on using stigma-free language and writing letters to the editor. Some approaches are comprehensive, such as developing a community action group and implementing a community-based campaign.

Reducing Opioid Misuse

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is responding to the opioid epidemic by promoting safe and responsible pain management, making sure patients can access treatment for opioid use disorder, and using data to target prevention and treatment.
