This collection of tools and resources is for providers, staff, and patients who offer or use services to address substance use, and other interested stakeholders. This collection was originally established following an environmental scan on implementing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD) in rural primary care. (See PDFs of Volume 1 [PDF 0.69 MB] and Volume 2 [PDF 1.28 MB] of that scan). Items have been continuously added to this collection since then, and the collection has expanded to cover substance use more broadly, rather than just MAT for OUD.

To support Florida's individuals, families, communities and practitioners, this collection of information and resources on treatment of opioid use disorder in special populations was compiled by FADAA with support from the Florida Department of Children and Families Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Office-Based Addiction Treatment Training and Technical Assistance Medication Assisted Treatement Quick Start

The BMC MAT Quick Start App utilizes interactive clinical algorithms to walk clinicians through each step of the medication initiation process and pain management recommendations for patients with OUD. The app does not replace clinical decision-making and is meant to help inform clinicians regarding the use of medications for opioid use disorder.
