Working Together: Treating the Whole Person with Chronic Pain

-

This six-hour training from UMass Chan Medical School is focused on a collaborative care model between behavioral health clinicians and primary care clinicians caring for patients with chronic pain. Chronic pain is a debilitating condition that affects daily work and life activities for many adults in the United States. In 2016, an estimated 50 million adults in the United States experienced chronic pain, resulting in substantial healthcare costs and lost productivity. CMEs are available through the American Association of Family Physicians (AAFP) and American Psychological Association (APA).

Addressing chronic pain and improving the lives of persons living with pain is critically necessary in primary care.
