Promoting Integrated Behavioral Health During National Prevention Week

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s National Prevention Week (NPW) helps to promote mental health awareness and substance use prevention. NPW takes place May 8-14, 2022. SAMHSA will kick off NPW with a SAMHSA Prevention Day virtual event on Monday, May 9.

This year’s NPW daily themes include:

  • May 9 - Strengthening Community Resilience: Substance Misuse and Overdose Prevention
  • May 10 - Preventing Substance Use and Promoting Mental Health in Youth
  • May 11- Preventing Suicide: Everyone Plays a Role
  • May 12 - The Talent Pipeline: Enhancing the Prevention Workforce
  • May 13 - Prevention is Everywhere: Highlighting Efforts Across Settings and Communities
  • May 14 - Celebrating Prevention Heroes
