Long-term recovery is supported through daily health behaviors rather than isolated clinical encounters. Evidence-based self-management interventions empower individuals to monitor symptoms, make informed decisions, solve problems, communicate effectively with healthcare providers, and develop sustainable routines that support wellness across multiple life domains. Increasingly, these approaches are complemented by digital health technologies, peer support services, and behavioral interventions that extend support beyond traditional healthcare settings. This training, hosted by the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network, provides participants with practical, evidence-based strategies for supporting medical and psychiatric self-management across the recovery continuum. Participants will explore motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, medication self-management, chronic disease management, relapse prevention, stress management, and emerging digital health technologies. Emphasis will be placed on integrating these approaches into recovery-oriented services while promoting autonomy, resilience, and long-term engagement in care. This is Session 2 of a three-part professional development series, "Whole Health Recovery: Advancing Medical and Psychiatric Chronic Disease Self-Management Series".
