ORN Clinical Roundtable: Out of the Shadows: Opioid Use Disorder, Stimulants and Teens

Description: This roundtable will look at the intersection of adolescents, OUD and stimulants.  It will be a case-based roundtable designed to garner and interactive discussion. This roundtable is hosted by the Opioid Response Network (ORN).

Objectives:

• Recognize common clinical and behavioral signs of opioid and stimulant use in adolescents.
• Identify immediate safety concerns, including opioid overdose and suicide risk.
• Describe practical steps for screening, brief intervention, referral, family engagement, and school-clinical collaboration.
• Explain how prescribed medication assists with the treatment of these substance use disorders
