Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Webinar Series: Introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) for Parents/Caregivers of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

This webinar, hosted by the Indian Health Service TeleBehavioral Health Center of Excellence, will focus on developing healthcare teams’ understanding of the core principles of ACT, examine the efficacy of ACT for parents/caregivers of children with ASD and how to utilize ACT strategies for parent/caregiver stress reduction. Teaching tools will include a resource page and a quick facts tip sheet for health care teams.

Objectives: 

  1. Identify the core principles of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).
  2. Examine the efficacy of ACT for parent/caregivers of children with autism.
  3. Utilize ACT strategies for parent/caregiver stress reduction.

 

Credits: 1 hour of ACCME, ANCC, AAPA, ASWB, APA
To receive a certificate of continuing education, participants must electronically sign-in for the session, participate in the entire live internet activity and complete the online evaluation. Participants will be able to print their certificate after completing the evaluation. The evaluation for this session will close two weeks from the date of the webinar.
