How Is Telemedicine Being Used To Expand Access To Treatment for Opioids And Other Substance Use Disorders in Primary Care Settings?

-

This webinar, hosted by the Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Network, will focus on the benefits of integrating behavioral health and primary care using telehealth, which has been shown to increase access to care in areas where resources are limited. Communities can utilize telehealth for evaluation and diagnosis, case consultation, treatment, medication management, continuing care, and provider education. Changes in regulation due to the COVID-19 pandemic have expanded opportunities for rural communities and others access to behavioral and mental health services via telehealth. Denver Health’s Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM) will share their experience implementing a “hub-and-spoke” model that integrates resources and clinical expertise via telehealth, sharing insight on facilitators and opportunities that help to create a seamless experience for patients.
