This webinar, sponsored by the Indian Health Service TeleBehavioral Health Center of Excellence (TBHCE), is a part of the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health webinar series. It will focus on developing providers’ skills in educating and supporting caregivers/families in understanding sensory processing differences in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, the impact of sensory processing differences on behavior, and common intervention approaches and supports. Teaching tools will include resource page, quick facts for providers, and handouts for families.
Objectives:
- Educate caregivers/families on sensory processing disorder in children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Examine the impact of sensory processing differences on the behavior of children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Compare common intervention approaches and supports for sensory processing differences in children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Available credits include: 1 hour of ACCME, ANCC, AAPA, ASWB, APA. To receive a certificate of continuing education, attendees must electronically sign-in for the session, participate in the entire live internet activity and complete the online evaluation. Participants will be able to print their certificate after completing the evaluation. The evaluation for this session will close two weeks from the date of the webinar.
