Identifying and Managing Veteran Suicide Risk in Non-VA Healthcare Settings

The National Academies will host a one-day hybrid public workshop to explore issues related to identifying and managing suicide risk for veterans who receive care outside of Veterans Health Administration facilities. Sessions will focus on examining the experiences of veterans in seeking care; understanding the policy context; exploring the landscape of veteran health care and suicide risk; and discussing best practices, knowledge gaps, and challenges for the assessment and mitigation of suicide risk.
