Making the Connection: Improving the Referral Pathways to Family Treatment Court

-

Timely identification and referral to treatment and family treatment courts (FTC) are critical to supporting stable recovery, reunification, and positive family well-being outcomes. In this webinar, presenters from the Center for Children and Family Futures will discuss strategies to effectively and efficiently identify parents eligible for the FTC and ways to engage them in services. This will include the more familiar strategies of cultivating referrals from child welfare agencies and dependency court professionals, along with new approaches for identifying participants through Plans of Safe Care. Speakers will discuss how it is essential for an FTC to cultivate strong partnerships between the court, child welfare, substance use disorder treatment, and other related agencies. This webinar will also highlight innovative examples of identification and referral pathways, including universal screening, automated notifications, and the use of active engagement strategies.
