Training and Events Calendar

The Academy Training and Events calendar is an easy-to-use resource for healthcare professionals across all settings of care and specialties looking for educational opportunities to further their knowledge of integrating behavioral health with primary care. Some training opportunities are available as in-person meetings while others are conducted via live webinar. Opportunities are updated weekly, and the “filter” function can be used to search fields such as event type, location (virtual or in-person), CE/CME availability, and topic. Opportunities are identified from federal agencies and non-federal organizations, academic institutions, government agencies, and member associations conducting work in behavioral health integration.

Patients diagnosed with substance use disorder (SUD) frequently encounter stigma in their personal lives as well as in clinical settings. Consequently, establishing a foundation of trust between these patients and their care teams presents both a significant challenge and a critical necessity. Integrated care settings offer distinct advantages that can be leveraged to support SUD patients, distinguishing them from non-integrated environments. This webinar, hosted by the Indian Health Service (IHS), will examine effective methodologies for integrating the treatment of SUD patients within the framework of integrated care settings.

Objectives:

Identify SUD signs, symptoms, and associated health conditions.

Examine unique challenges and opportunities for treating SUD patients in integrated care settings.

Evaluate the role of trust-building in enhancing the effectiveness of clinical care for SUD patients within integrated care setting.

Available credits include 1 hour of ACCME, ANCC, AAPA, ASWB, and APA. To receive a certificate of continuing education, attendees must electronically sign-in for the session, participate in the entire live internet activity and complete the online evaluation. Participants will be able to print their certificate after completing the evaluation. The evaluation for this session will close two weeks from the date of the webinar.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from abstract concept to operational reality in behavioral health settings. While early conversations focused on fear, uncertainty, and job displacement, today’s leaders are asking more practical questions: Where does AI actually help? How do we use it responsibly? And how do we ensure it supports, rather than undermines, clinical care?

This webinar provides a grounded, pragmatic overview of how AI is being used in behavioral health today, with a brief framing of current adoption trends followed by a deep dive into three high-impact problem areas facing the field: workforce shortages, skills development, and task shifting for staff without formal behavioral health training.

Participants will learn how AI tools are already being leveraged beyond documentation support—extending into care coordination, clinical skill development, and operational support—and how organizations can begin adopting these tools in a deliberate, ethical, and ROI-driven way. The session emphasizes practical use cases, staff readiness, and concrete next steps leaders can take immediately to begin responsible AI integration.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

Identify high-value, low-risk AI use cases that improve workforce efficiency, support early-career providers, and enable appropriate task shifting without compromising clinical quality or scope of practice.

Explain how AI can function as a support and upskilling tool for less experienced clinicians and non-licensed staff, including applications in care coordination, clinical reasoning support, and operational decision-making.

Apply a practical framework for AI adoption, including staff education, training strategies, governance considerations, and steps to evaluate return on investment at both the individual and organizational level.
