To implement and sustain integration, some state and Federal laws and regulations will need to be adapted or changed. This section provides information on legal and regulatory issues and the goals and strategies that have been or could be used to overcome them. Effective strategies implemented by some states to achieve policy change through legislative initiatives will be shared as they develop. An example of such a recent action is the act recently passed by the Colorado General Assembly:  Concerning the provision of Integrated Healthcare Services pursuant to the Colorado Medical Assistance Program.
