Join the University of Massachusetts Medical School on July 23 as they host a free webinar to discuss Behavioral Activation for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Primary Care. The webinar is being presented for health care professionals at any level or background. It will run about 90 minutes and include a Q&A period.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who experiences a traumatic event like combat, assault, or disaster. It affects many primary care patients. One might not immediately think about primary care as a provider of treatment for PTSD but in practices that integrate physical and mental health, it is common. The webinar will be led by Dr. Eisdorfer who is a Fellow in Clinical Health Psychology in Primary Care, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Medical School.
