This paper outlines the work undertaken to achieve a nationally consistent approach.MethodThis paper describes the work of the Australian Mental Health Outcomes and Classification Network to develop experience measures and support their implementation.ResultsA suite of measures has been developed for use in public sector mental health services, community-managed organisations and primary health networks. National forums have generated an understanding of the challenges of implementation and how these can be overcome.ConclusionIn Australia, a suite of mental health consumer and carer experience measures are being implemented and used to support the continued transition to more person-centred care.
