Integration must be manageable for health care providers, with specific goals, ongoing training programs and clear measurements of progress. It must be communicated effectively to patients. And payment models must support the flexibility needed to make integration happen.These were overarching themes identified by a group of health care providers meeting to contribute expertise to the Colorado Health Care Innovation Plan, which focuses on integrating physical and behavioral health care in Colorado.
