The COVID-19 pandemic has created both short-term and long-term negative consequences for behavioral health outcomes. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Forum on Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders will host a free public virtual workshop: Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders in the Era of COVID-19: With a Special Focus on the Impact of the Pandemic on Communities of Color.

The virtual workshop will be held via three webinars on November 23, December 3, and December 14, 2020.

The first webinar will focus on how COVID-19 has revealed and exacerbated mental health and substance use disorders, with a special focus on the impact of the pandemic on communities of color.
